B&B, half board and full board options. | |  | Les Chenes is a fully refurbished Basque style house, situated in the traditionally French village of Benesse Maremne. Five minutes by car from the spectacular beaches of Capbreton and Hossegor. The nearest golf course is 5 minutes away and there are many others within 45 minutes. Les Chenes has five twin bedrooms all on the first floor, four of which can be made into doubles and two of the rooms can be made into triples. All have en-suite showers. There is a spacious living room which looks out onto our beautiful garden and terrace. The dining room has a magnificent old fire place and original wooden floors and the dining room table comfortably seats 12. There is also a gym room and the hosts are both trained Sports therapists and Sports masseurs. The large garden provides an excellent venue for relaxing and is where the barbeque evenings are held. Les Chenes is easy to find, being within minutes of the motorway and getting to Bayonne, Biarritz and Bordeaux is quick and simple.
The local beaches are considered some of the best in Europe and are kept immaculately clean and constantly groomed, providing excellent opportunities for all water sports, especially surfing. There are annual surf competitions attracting professional surfers from all over as the surf breaks here are considered among the best in the World.
We are situated 1 1/2 hours from Bordeaux, 1/2 from Bayonne and Biarritz (where there is fabulous shopping in the trendy boutiques) and within five minutes of Hossegor, Capbreton and St.Vincent de Tyrosse.
|  | Asides from the fabulous beaches, home to some of the finest surf in the world and venue for many international surf competitions. There are also miles of beautiful pine forests, ideal for cycling, walking and nature watching. In the Aquitaine area there are 45 golf courses, and green fees are generally speaking very reasonable. They range from under 20 Euros to 40 Euros low season and 20 Euros to 60 Euros high season. There is a five day “Golf Pass Biarritz” offering you the chance to play a different course each day. This costs 198 Euros low season and 250 Euros high season. There is also a low season weekend pass for two rounds of golf for 80 Euros per person. There are many other activities in the area and we will be happy to tell you all about them and help you plan out your holiday. There is also the opportunity to explore the wine growing areas and the spectacular Basque country. There are nearby casinos and many chances to see the worlds fastest ball game Pelota Basque.
